"Touch many, be happy." - Aachan Anthony James
The ancient, spiritual art of healing, Thai Yoga (Phaen Boran Raksaa
Thaang Nuat) is derivative of the Theraveda Buddhism, Buddhist
medicine, Classical Indian and Tibetan Ayurveda and Yoga Vedanta.
However, it is not required that one be a Buddhist to practice or
receive this healing art. The primary outcomes associated with the
practice of Thai Yoga are called "ProMiiWihan Sii" or Four Divine,
Boundless States of mind without limitation: Love, Compassion,
Joy and Equanimity, qualities we ALL need in our lives!
Thai Yoga is vibrational medicine that incorporates elements of
mindfulness, gentle rocking, deep stretching and rhythmic compression with heart-centered, compassionate attention to create a singular healing experience. This work brings
fundamental elements and energy into harmony and creates wholeness of
mind, body and spirit. Each session is tailored specifically for each
client, and with specific focus, can help balance the tri-dosha or constitutions of the body.
I am proud to say I have been trained and certified (200 hour residence apprenticeship) in Thai Yoga Therapy at SomaVeda Institute
in FLA, under the tutelage of Aachan Anthony James, the man responsible for bringing this art to to the States back in the 80s and the first and only
American granted "Aachan" (Master Instructor) recognition through
the Wat Po Association for Traditional Thai Medicine in Thailand. For
